We all look forward to “The Question” from our beloved and the desired “Answer” to follow! But once that occurs, what comes next?!

Planning a wedding can be exciting and exhausting all at the same time. You’ve just said yes and though you would love that moment to last forever, the constant queries from loved ones and friends enquiring when the big day will be and if they will be on your bridal train soon leaves you no choice but to get on with planning your wedding!

First things first – choose the type of wedding ceremony you would like to have: religious or non-religious. If non-religious then a civil ceremony or a Registry ceremony will be your options. For a religious ceremony, a religious building and a licensed minister will officiate your wedding. You could also opt for a non-religious ceremony and then have a wedding blessing with a Celebrant before your reception. Based on your choice, you can begin venue searching, but you still need a lot more information prior to booking a venue.

Choosing a date is hinged on your choice venue’s availability, so get into a few venues and look around and make a decision. Once that is underway, you also need to consider your budget, and your guest numbers as these main factors determine your choice venue.

Designing your wedding and sourcing applicable vendors are the next tasks to follow the venue and date. This is a long objective and emotive process that requires your full attention to detail.
